WJOS Television went on the air in April of 1997 .  This is a low power station that is locally owned and operated by Pete and Brenda Barnhart .

WJOS is a Christian, Family and Community station that reaches about 40,000 homes through cable and uhf. WJOS is a 24-hour broadcast station that is on Suddenlink Cable and are currently working to get on other cable systems. WJOS is affiliated with national networks such as: My Family TV, Family Net Television and Legacy TV.  

The Barnhart’s have both lived in the community since childhood and have a strong sense of family and community.  Both have and are currently serving on community boards as well as village councils and of course being involved in a local church.

The Barnhart’s have three children and five grandchildren.
